Greetings from Vision Expo West! INVISION will be in booth 19124 when the show gets rolling tomorrow. Please drop by, pick up a copy of our new issue (complete with your hands-on guide to making the most of every trade show), and meet our team.

Things got going yesterday with a daylong conference on emerging eyecare and eyewear technologies. People attending the first-ever Future in Focus conference voted Encore Vision’s  eyedrops to reverse presbyopia as the most innovative and most disruptive of the inventions showcased, while Digital Vision Systems’ phoropter-less VisionOptimizer refractor was hailed as the one most poised for success. Check out #thefutureinfocus on Twitter to read more about the technologies presented.

Continuing education starts today through Saturday, and the offerings are packed with sessions to help you boost your business. INVISION will be sitting in on a dozen or so sessions, from frame selection and Facebook smarts to must-have fashion trends for 2015 and EHR data mining. Exhibits open tomorrow, and we’re eager to see the latest and greatest in frames, accessories and equipment.

What we learn in Vegas definitely won’t stay here; we’ll have tips and ideas from Vision Expo West for many issues to come. Meanwhile, if you’re here and you see or hear something you think would be of interest to other INVISION readers, share it with me via email (julie at invisionmag dot com) during or after the show, or drop by booth 19124 and leave me a note. (You may be able to catch me there in person from 3 to 4 on Thursday or 1:30 to 2:30 Saturday.)

Good luck and best wishes for a winning Vision Expo!
