If you know about Cutler and Gross, then you know that the luxury eyewear maker takes a different tack when it comes to creating a shopping experience. This is the company, for example, that puts shoppable vintage vaults in its retail stores.

Now, Los Angeles magazine writes, the British eyewear maker is offering bespoke services at one of its locations. The article says that the service starts at $4,000, and 26 different people measure a client’s temple length, bridge location and head size before the glasses are made in the company’s factory in Italy. “A lot of love goes into making them,” says Marie Wilkinson, C&G’s head of design. “These craftsmen have it in their blood, and they feel like they leave a part of themselves behind.”
