It will open in October.

New York-based eyewear maker Moscot plans to open an optical shop in New York's Chelsea Market in October.

"While MOSCOT is now a globally recognized brand, we are at our heart, a New York Cityneighborhood optical shop," said fourth-generation owner Dr. Harvey Moscot. "Our city culture is at the core of our brand, which is why Chelsea Market is such an exciting endeavor for us. The shop will be consist of 1000 square feet and will be the brand's fourth location in Manhattan. 

The 102-year-old Moscot will join Chelsea Market's unique set of merchants, which together attract over 6 million national and international visitors each year.
