The acquisition was completed in October, according to Utah Business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2016, Liingo is a Draper, UT-based company that promises free lenses with its frames. It received seed funding from Peak Ventures, according to the article.

The deal is expected to result in "an increase in clients and consumers for both brands," Utah Business reports.

1-800 Contacts President John Graham is quoted saying: "We look forward to expanding our product offering to include prescription glasses as we continue working to make purchasing eyewear simple and affordable."
