Couple eventually caught for not wearing seatbelts.
A California couple traveled to Florida for a week-long crime spree that netted them 285 pairs of designer frames worth $85,000 from several LensCrafters stores in the Fort Lauderdale area. The pair intended to mail the items back to California and sell them there online and at swap meets, according to authorities. The couple initially evaded police who tried to apprehend them as they prepare to board a flight back to California. Shortly thereafter, however, authorities stopped them for failing to wear seat belts. The man gave police consent to search the vehicle, say police, who found the frames and two pounds of marijuana.
