(Press Release) OneSight has teamed up with leading nonprofit technology partner everydayhero and presenting sponsor Walman to launch its first global fitness and fundraising challenge. From Australia to India to Africa and to the U.S., OneSight is igniting a global movement to go the distance to give glasses.
From Sept. 1 until World Sight Day on Oct. 12, supporters from around the globe can participate in the Ready Set See challenge. Just run, walk, bike or swim and raise critical funds for six new vision centers, bringing access to vision care and glasses to over 1.25 million people in need.
OneSight is encouraging everyone join the Ready Set See challenge:
1. Register. Join the challenge and invite your friends to participate at readysetsee.org.
2. Connect. Sync your FitBit, MapMyFitness or Strava to track your distance or log your activity.
3. Fundraise. Raise funds by asking your friends and family to donate to your page.
4. Get Active. Get out and get active and share your progress on social media.
Participants will also experience a virtual journey across the six countries they will be impacting and the collective distance and fundraising results for the challenge will be tracked real-time. Fundraising from the challenge will help open a new vision center in each of the following countries: China, East Timor, India, Rwanda, U.S. and Zambia.
