Hawaiian Entrepreneur Kept Losing His Sunglasses in the Water


Forest Eyewear shades are made of wood -- and so they float.

Honolulu Magazine reports on Oahu native Keoua Whitlock, who, like many entrepreneurs, identified a pain point: He kept losing his sunglasses in the water. The result: his recently launched sunglasses brand, Forest Eyewear, which produces wooden frames (shown) that, yes, float. Styles include the Duke, made of walnut and beech, and the Shaka, available in zebrawood and black-stained or natural bamboo.
