New Orleans eyewear firm Krewe du Optic is bringing a fashion sense to the U.S. South, according to Racked. The article says the company, which opened its flagship store in the French Quarter a year ago, has been named a top ten finalist for the 2016 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards. The company's sunglasses and frames are favored by celebrities including Beyoncé, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid (shown). Krewe du Optic's Stirling Barrett says he is committed to staying in the city. "We're going to move away from trade shows and start throwing one big event in New Orleans," he says.
