Boise, Idaho, sunglasses company Proof Eyewear appeared on the reality show "Shark Tank" in 2013 and turned down a couple of investment offers, the Idaho Statesman reports. But in the week after the show, Proof's website received 1.2 million visitors. "We were taking big garbage bags of orders to the Post Office," says company founder Brooks Dame. "The boost was huge." Proof is owned by Dame and his two brothers, whose family owns a sawmill company. The brothers' background in wood influenced Proof Eyewear's product line, which features sunglasses made from wood and other biodegradable products.
