Workers “love the idea.”

Quartz reports that eyewear company Warby Parker is using an innovative system to assign work to some of its computer programmers. In the system, called Warbles, workers throughout the organization can nominate projects they think would be worthwhile. Quartz explains that engineering teams “compete to accumulate the most points” and win a prize at the end of every quarter. The employees “love the idea that they have autonomy and they can select ideas that they find most interesting,” Warby Parker co-CEO Dave Gilboa says.
