Store will join growing retail scene downtown.
Continuing its bricks-and-mortar retail expansion, eyewear firm Warby Parker will open a store in central Detroit, The Detroit News says. According to the article, the shop will be on the first floor of an eight-story building on Woodward Avenue in Detroit's burgeoning downtown retail district. Renovations costing about $419,000 will take place at the site, which is a property of the city's Bedrock Real Estate Services. Bedrock's executive vice president told the newspaper, "This brand entering the Detroit market is a significant sign of Woodward Avenue's continued momentum as a major shopping destination."
