Pend Oreille Vision Care opened its doors in Sandpoint, ID in August 2010 and has been through a few remodels.

Pend Oreille’s front is wrapped in a rustic porch. Passersby use the iconic yellow bench swing all four seasons of the year.

When Pend Oreille needed some new signage, owner/OD Nate Harrell bought an old horse wagon and hauled it into town, covered it in fresh paint, and stenciled the practice’s name on the side. Within a week, a new patient marched in and loudly announced, “I’m here because of the wagon!”

The bike path outside Pend Oreille heads toward a historic church. The practice is adjacent to Sandpoint’s last-standing historic grain depot, in the hip and upcoming Granary Arts District.
