$25M Expansion of U.S. Optical Lab Network Planned

LEWISVILLE, TX — Hoya Vision Care has announced plans to invest $25 million in an expansion of its laboratory network.

The facility in Ramsey, MN, will have 70,000 square feet and 100 new employees.

“This state-of-the-art Ramsey, MN facility includes a full-service Rx laboratory and a world class Advanced Technology Center (ATC) for research and development which will continue to drive technology and innovation for our customers and their patients,” said Jason White, chief financial officer and interim CEO, Americas.

Hoya has more than 30 laboratory locations in the U.S. The new investment will help the company increase its capacity by as much as 4,000 prescription jobs per day.

As part of the expansion in Ramsey, Hoya has invested in its Safety Rx division to cover the addition of equipment and staffing.
