I had an elderly gentleman call and cuss me out because he failed his driver’s test after getting his new glasses. I called his daughter to ask what happened because her father and I always had a great rapport. She let me know it was nothing I did wrong — he’s old with bad reflexes and when the instructor went for a drive with him our patient drove up on the sidewalk a few times, so he didn’t get his renewal. I had to laugh after I hung up with her because she was laughing very hard about the situation. It was a daughter-to-father ‘I told you so’ moment for them. — Je G., Spring Valley, CA
