Running a business during a pandemic is even more stressful than usual. “This past year was especially challenging trying to see patients safely, managing the office, and the kids virtually schooling from home,” says Dr. Amina Ebrahim of D Vision Eyecare. But if you’re lucky, you can share that burden with your husband and partner. “We share many of the same business ideas, and complement each other well,” she adds. “We’ve been married for over 20 years, so if I can’t stand him at the end of the day, it’s not because of work!” She is also sure to take time for herself. “To relax after work, I like to take 30 minutes to read a book, catch up on social media, or listen to live music courtesy of my sons!” Then it’s catching up on the day’s events as she prepares a home cooked meal. “This evening noise and chatter with the family is my favorite time of the day.”
