Elizabeth Cho
(PRESS RELEASE) ORLANDO, FL — The American Academy of Optometry Foundation announces Elizabeth Cho, OD, as this year’s recipient of the inaugural Rhonda S. Robinson Contact Lens Residency award.
Dr. Cho is a cornea and contact lens resident at Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University (SCCO). Dawn Y. Lam, MSc, OD, FAAO, Cornea and Contact Lens Coordinator at SCCO said, “Dr. Cho always takes the time to explain difficult concepts while also rendering excellent care and attention to her patients. She is intelligent, bright, and an excellent clinician.”
Dr. Robinson was noted as being one of the “10 female optometrists making an indelible impact on the profession.” She was an adjunct faculty member at Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University and was involved in many other organizations before her passing.
The award is intended to promote the practice and development of the field of contact lenses by providing incentive and support to talented optometric residents who demonstrate a passion and commitment to practice, research, and education.
Of the applicants who applied, Elizabeth presented an impressive resume of experience in clinical, volunteer service, research, and lecture presentation.
