ABB Optical Group Adds Specialty Lens Consultant

(PRESS RELEASE) CORAL SPRINGS, FL – ABB Optical Group, a provider of optical products and business services in the eyecare industry, welcomes Donna “Dede” Reyes to its team of specialty contact lens consultants.

Reyes will be instrumental in assisting with the growth of ABB Optical Group’s Wet Lab and Lunch & Learn programs, designed to provide customers with personalized and hands-on training for specialty lens fittings.

ABB Optical Group’s specialty contact lens team brings more than 60 years of experience in manufacturing specialty gas permeable and custom soft lenses for eyecare practitioners. The team of master opticians, expert fitters and experienced business professionals assists eyecare practitioners with their difficult gas permeable and soft lens fittings.

Reyes comes to ABB Optical Group from SynergEyes, where she served as senior director of clinical services and training.

Prior to her role at SynergEyes, Reyes was a specialty contact lens fitter and contact lens service co-director at the University of California Davis Medical Center’s department of ophthalmology, where she also managed the UCDMC refractive surgery service. She was also director of contact lens services for Medical Vision Technology and Dr. Julian Fisher, MD, in Sacramento.

Reyes has held Fellow status with the Contact Lens Society of America since 1995 and has been a member since 1992. She was advance certified with the National Contact Lens Examiners in 1990 and certified by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personal in Ophthalmology in 1989. Reyes also has authored and lectured extensively on contact lens fitting and techniques.
