Maybe you’ve seen her partnerships with Lumenis, Optase, or Zeiss? Or possibly you’ve seen her in Forbes, on Below Deck or on Good Morning America? Dr. Jen Tsai has the sort of influence that has transcended the optical industry, but at the end of the day she is still a private practice OD treating patients and running a business. “It’s all about the people — I love connecting with my community, from patients to employees and I enjoy introducing the latest treatments and products.” She also finds the challenge of growing her business exciting but acknowledges that “owning a business means a never-ending to-do list, sacrificing personal time, and dealing with occasional stress.” Despite the challenges of running a successful business in the whirlwind of New York City and the glamorous, world-traveling opportunities afforded to her thanks to the social media following she has painstakingly built, she is just like us when it comes to stress management. “I unwind after a stressful day by meditating, working out, and catching up with friends!”
