Dr. Jen Tsai has the sort of influence that has transcended the optical industry, but at the end of the day she is still a private practice OD treating patients and running a business. “It’s all about the people — I love connecting with my community, from patients to employees and I enjoy introducing the latest treatments and products.” She also finds the challenge of growing her business exciting but acknowledges that “owning a business means a never-ending to-do list, sacrificing personal time, and dealing with occasional stress.” Despite the challenges of running a successful business in the whirlwind of New York City and the glamorous, world-traveling opportunities afforded to her thanks to the social media following she has painstakingly built, she is just like us when it comes to stress management. “I unwind after a stressful day by meditating, working out, and catching up with friends!”
