“I hire people based on personality,” says Dr. Cynthia Sayers. So it’s no wonder that her number one favorite thing about running her business is her sta . “We are a family and I love seeing them every day. It’s like getting to hang out with your best friends.” Her patients are a close second. “I joked when I first opened that I wanted to be the kind of o ice that patients would just pop in and say hi sometimes. And … That. Actually. Happens! Work doesn’t feel like work when you really get to know people.” But you can’t have the good without the bad. Topping her least favorite list are: 1) Insurance. 2) The rising cost of goods and 3) Unexpected issues … “Frozen door locks, blown light bulbs, the annoying things that happen at the worst times.” She, of course, has a remedy for those times. “I have a teenage daughter that is the coolest person on the planet. The end of a day is spent hearing about her day, watching some TikToks with her, and hanging with my three Frenchies … My hubby is there too, but he goes to bed way too early for us!”
