(Press Release) CORAL SPRINGS, FL – ABB Optical Group, a national distributor of optical products, will begin accepting applications for its fourth annual ABB Cares program on Monday, Aug. 1.
ABB Cares is open to eyecare professionals who want to nominate an outstanding non-profit organization in their community. ABB Optical will award an ABB Cares Platinum grant of $5,000, two Gold grants of $2,500 each and four Silver grants of $1,000.
“ABB Cares gives us an opportunity to learn more about the organizations that ECPs so passionately support in their communities,” said ABB Optical CEO Angel Alvarez. “Every year we are so impressed and touched by the amazing nominations we receive, and I’m sure this year will be no different.”
Organizations do not need to focus on eye health to qualify. To be considered as a grant recipient, all candidates must comply with the following:

- The organization must be a 501(c)(3) organization and must be able to provide proof of this status.
- The organization’s local office must be within 30 miles of the nominating practice’s primary location.
- Applications must be completed and submitted online.
- The deadline to submit an application is 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 31.
