Applications Open for Essilor’s Summer Internship

Essilor of America is now taking applications for its 2015 Summer Intern Program.

Qualified candidates will have completed their first year of education in Optometry in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico, and be able to live and work in Dallas, Texas beginning June 1 through August 7, 2015. Applications are due by April 20, 2015.

This internship is a paid position, and includes housing costs and accommodations for the duration of the summer.

“At Essilor, interns are not just observers of our business,” said Dr. Janelle Routhier, OD, FAAO, senior director of customer development at Essilor.

“Throughout the summer, our intern will receive hands-on experience in a variety of settings including professional education, marketing, patient care and other departments.”

The internship consists of specific projects to be completed within the 10-week timeframe, with an opportunity to present results to Essilor leadership. Applicants will be highly motivated, professional and dynamic.

How to Apply

Qualified candidates will need to film and submit a video no longer than three minutes on their qualifications and desire for the internship.

Videos can be submitted via Dropbox or equivalent file sharing program.

Applications will be accepted through April 20, with interviews conducted until April 30. The recipient of the internship will be notified May 1, 2015.
