Art and Science Collide in Eyewear’s Latest Releases

Kahlo Inspired (ABOVE)

J.F. Rey’s BOZ collection draws from Mexican culture, and celebrates the life and creativity of Frida Kahlo. The Ilusion celebrates Mexican festivals in particular, with rims created from two sheets of metal and distinct, colorful designs on the temples.

French Connection

Handmade in France, the AHLEM Le Marais is a unisex style with beveled temples, Dalloz lenses, and a keyhole bridge. This style is sized for small to medium faces.

Light Touch

Offering the lightest polarized lenses in the world, according to the company, BLACKFIN’s Luminar, shown here on the Ventura, prevents distortion and tension with its polarizing filter, which is integrated into the lens. This lens passes the ANSI Z87.1 speed/hi-mass impact test.

$685 with frame

Celestial Season

One of the latest styles from TC CHARTON, the Celest features laser-cut stainless steel juxtaposed with soft crystal acetate. This frame is available as both an optical and sun style.

$95 optical (as shown), $110 sun

‘Tik’ Tock

The cut-down bridge design and chain-link detail on the temples of the EVATIK E-9193 give it a masculine edge. This style is a large-fit, stainless steel frame.

Purple Power

Paying homage to Lauren Hutton’s look in American Gigolo, the Morningside from GARRETT LEIGHT is a large, ultrathin acetate sunglass with semi-flat CR-39 lenses.

Get the Blues

Harbour Blue, the latest hue to be added to the men’s styles in IC! BERLIN’s Core Collection, is shown here on the Attila L. with grey polarized lenses. This frame is lightweight German stainless steel and the color is applied through a multi-step lacquering process.

Three in One

Created in partnership with Essilor Sun Solution, BOLLE’s Phantom lens technology offers optical clarity, light-adaptive lenses, and high contrast filter. Made with NXT, these lenses change tint with the light, going from cat. 1 to cat. 3 in less than 30 seconds.

Prices range from $119 to $149
