Being a retailer means being a people-person. You have to be a people-person yourself and you have to hire staff members who are people-people. Simply offering great service and products isn’t enough — patients have to like you if you really want them to engage, love their experience, and return. And sometimes, it’s tiring because you always have to be “on.” It doesn’t matter what else is going on that day or what other obstacles you are facing, because you can’t bring any of that into your clients’ experiences. And first impressions really are everything. Tammy Vo, Look + See Vision Care, Austin, TX
