Blind Woman Sees Daughter Get Married Thanks to $15,000 High-Tech Glasses

A pair of high-tech glasses is to credit for a blind woman in Pennsylvania who was able to see her daughter get married, Inside Edition writes. Joy Hoke, the article says, became legally blind after she was diagnosed with anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), but through a friend she learned about a pair of glasses for the visually impaired that would allow her to see her daughter’s wedding. The glasses carried a hefty price tag at $15,000 and weren’t covered by insurance, but she was able to afford them after her husband set up a GoFundMe campaign that raised the full cost in just six days.
