Block Business Group to Launch VisionLive.TV

BOCA RATON, FL — Block Business Group, a purchasing organization for eyecare professionals, has announced the premier of VisionLive.TV, a new live streaming internet television program for the eyecare industry. The program will debut in South Florida at 8 a.m. EST on Feb. 17.

“As supporters of independent eye are professionals, we know that bringing relevant, interesting and actionable information to the industry is important to the success of our members and vendors alike,“ says Michael Block, president of Block Business Group. “Live streaming video creates an opportunity for us to share best practices and information and to inform their business decisions, as well as increase sales and profits for optical retailers.”

VisionLive will be hosted by Block’s director of business development, Erik Liljegren, a former correspondent to Fox News Channel. He will be joined by Gayle Gurchiek, a model, spokeswoman and a veteran optical sales and marketing consultant. Michael Block will provide industry analysis and commentary, and also conduct featured interviews. VisionLive will welcome interactive participation with its audience through social media platforms.

In its premier episode, VisionLive’s guests will include Allesandro Baronti, VP of sales at Luxottica; Elissa Masler, the director of marketing at AccuLens; and author and motivational speaker Anthony Caliendo. Each will be discussing techniques and strategies to enhance the patient/customer experience, and improve performance in sales and profitability.
