(PRESS RELEASE) ALPHARETTA, GA – BluTech LLC, a provider of ophthalmic blue light solutions, has named two individuals to its executive ranks. The appointments are effective immediately.
David S. Provow will assume the duties of chief operating officer. Provow was previously vice president, operations and new product development.
“David’s accomplishments at BluTech and over 40 years of experience in the optical industry make him well-suited to overseeing these functional areas,” said Greg Naes, president of BluTech. “He is a seasoned professional and an invaluable asset to our capabilities in the ophthalmic market.”
Prior to joining BluTech LLC, Provow has served in senior level capacities for industry leaders such as Luxottica, Carl Zeiss Vision, SOLA Optical, as well as had involvement with startup operations such as Pixel Optics and QSpex Optical. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY.
Renato Cappuccitti will assume the role of senior vice president of sales and marketing. In his new role, Cappuccitti will be responsible for strengthening the partnerships of the company’s dealer base, developing unified and consistent messaging to enhance the ECP and consumer experience and expand distribution of BluTech products globally.
“The demands from consumers and ECPs with regard to blue light protection continues to increase daily,” says Naes. “Renato’s knowledge and expertise of the optical industry and in-depth retail experience will help support our customers with the information and tools needed to effectively meet those demands.”

Cappuccitti brings over 30 years of industry experience in sales, marketing and business development. Most recently, he was a member of the leadership team with Costa Del Mar sunglasses, one of the fastest-growing performance sunglass brands, where he led the sales team and was responsible for strategic partnerships in the optical channel. Cappuccitti also serves as the vice chair of the Sunglass and Readers Division for the Vision Council.
