Cheers: Study Says Alcohol Consumption Good for the Eyes

Non-drinkers twice as likely to develop eye problems.

Good news for the holidays: A website for oenophiles reports that a team of researchers at the University of Wisconsin have found that drinking alcohol may be able to reduce the chance of having poor eyesight later in life. Among the study group, only five percent of those who drank occasionally developed visual impairment, as compared with 11 percent of those who did not drink.
