The virtual summit, to be held August 5th through 8th, will consist of a multi-day interview series for people with diabetes, caregivers, and healthcare practitioners.

An estimated 9,000 attendees will be present during this year’s four-day, online summit. Twenty doctors, coaches, advocates, celebrities, speakers, bloggers, authors and more are slated to present on a multitude of topics surrounding the mental and emotional aspects of living with a disease that requires 24/7 care.
Seminars during the event will focus on providing participants with tips to improve their mental and emotional relationship with diabetes, tools to strengthen and trust their intuition for diabetes management, and advice on how to cultivate sustainable and empowering habits.
ClearVision’s Executive Vice President, Peter Friedfeld, is scheduled to present at the summit, along with BluTech Eyewear’s Valerie Manso. The duo will continue to build upon ClearVision’s efforts towards raising awareness around the importance of eye health within the diabetic community. With the increased usage of digital devices in recent months, as many are now working and learning from home, the effects of blue light, especially for those with diabetes, is a message that is more important now than ever before.
Ms. Manso will be leading an informative seminar during the summit where she will present information and data about the effects of blue light, and the benefits that blue light blocking eyewear can have for those in the diabetic community. She will highlight how BluTech Eyewear has been scientifically proven to improve sleep, an important facet in maintaining proper blood sugar levels. Ms. Manso will also discuss the link between overall health and wellbeing, as it pertains to mindfulness of blue light and the prevention of diabetic retinopathy, a disease that affects many with diabetes.
