Myopia Profile, a clinical myopia management information center, has launched its Communicating The Myopia Message online course. The course joins the slate of Myopia Profile web resources available to guide ECPs as they address the myopia epidemic. The two-hour self-paced course provides ECPs with tried and tested messages and practical tools and covers all aspects of myopia management from a communications perspective. The 25 lessons included in the six modules include interactive parent communication scenarios, downloadable tools, quizzes and more in engaging formats with each lesson providing a scientific foundation of advice to communicate knowledge to parents. The course is COPE CE-approved in North America and the cost is $45 per virtual seat. Vision Plan Approval Rises

After a decrease in 2020, vision plan satisfaction is rebounding as doctor visits increase, according to the seventh annual J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Vision Plan Satisfaction Report. Overall satisfaction is 769 (on a 1,000-point scale), up from 760 in 2020. Additionally, 5% more members visited their vision providers within the past six months compared with the same time in 2020. The study found that UnitedHealthcare Vision ranks highest in customer satisfaction with vision plan insurers with a score of 825. Aetna Vision (816) ranks second and Davis Vision (775) ranks third. U.S. Strong in Eyecare Tech

Moove-It.com has released a study analyzing the healthtech capabilities of 85 global cities; The Healthtech Index. It uses data to reveal the cities with the most developed healthtech ecosystems in the world and identify those leading the technological advancement of different healthcare sectors — including telemedicine and eyecare — using a range of factors related to investment, corporate infrastructure and human capital. Overall in total rankings Boston nabbed the top spot globally. Paris ranked number one in eyecare with a score of 100, followed by New York (78.3), Boston (75.4) and Los Angeles (74.9).
