(PRESS RELEASE) ROCHESTER, N.Y. — CooperVision announced that Michele Andrews, OD, Vice President, Marketing and Professional Affairs, Americas, was awarded a gold Stevie Award for Women in Business in the category of Female Executive of the Year, Consumer Products, more than 2,500 Employees, and a silver Stevie Award for Woman of the Year in Healthcare. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run—worldwide.
Andrews was recognized for her outstanding leadership in addressing the growing myopia crisis among children by driving numerous impactful initiatives. Through Generation Sight, her efforts have expanded access to myopia management treatments in underserved communities, reducing health disparities and promoting eye health equity. Additionally, her work with The Myopia Collective is influencing healthcare policies by driving discussions and encouraging regulatory bodies to prioritize myopia management within pediatric healthcare standards.

The awards for Female Executive of the Year honor women in leadership roles who have made significant, unique contributions to both their organizations and industries and the Woman of the Year awards recognize women in any job title for their outstanding achievements and impact across various fields. This year, over 1,500 entries from organizations and individuals across 36 nations and territories were submitted for consideration in more than 100 categories. Dr. Andrews was honored during a prestigious recognition dinner on November 8 in New York City.
