Damian Lillard, Fabrizio Uguzzoni Celebrate Local Portland High School Contribution

(PRESS RELEASE) This week, Damian Lillard came together with Fabrizio Uguzzoni (President of Luxottica Wholesale Americas) and Corey Hill (Senior Director of Oakley Global Sports Marketing) at local Parkrose High School to celebrate Oakley’s contribution to RESPECT.

RESPECT, a cause close to local Trail Blazer star Damian Lillard, supports the next generation of high school students by challenging them to stay in school to get a solid education, while encouraging them to show up, work hard, and be kind. With the contribution to RESPECT in partnership with Damian, Oakley continues to cement its legacy in basketball and support youth who will shape the future.

In addition to the contribution, Oakley surprised the NBA All-Star and Team Oakley athlete in Portland with a one-of-a-kind eyewear to commemorate the occasion. The custom eyewear is a unique design of Oakley’s iconic Eye Jacket Redux frame that includes red and gold designs and exclusive etching of the RESPECT logo.

“Dame is an inspiration in so many ways on and off the court” says Fabrizio Uguzzoni, President of North America for Luxottica. “He’s a true mentor for the younger generation, and as a brand, we’ll continue to celebrate athletes like Dame by giving back to the local communities that share the love of sport.”
