Organizations say they weren’t hacked.

Optometrists and optometry students appear to have been targeted in a nationwide data breach, with doctors and students getting unsolicited Chase Amazon cards or denial letters, Vision Monday writes. The article says credit monitoring services have notified some victims of fraud alerts. The source of the breach is unknown. Organizations including the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the Association for Schools and Colleges in Optometry and the National Board of Examiners in Optometry say their databases haven’t been hacked.
