St. Louis-based group has 33 ECP members across the country.
Essilor of America has acquired Opti-Port, a St. Louis-based group of 33 multi-office eyecare providers with more than 400 total offices around the country, Vision Monday reports. The article says that the deal – the terms of which were not disclosed – comes after Essilor’s recent acquisitions of three other independent eyecare groups: Vision Source (July, 2015), Professional Eyecare Resource Cooperative (November, 2015) and Infinity Vision Alliance (November, 2015). In a statement, Essilor said “this acquisition will continue to strengthen the independent eyecare profession in the United States by accelerating key programs designed to deliver a stronger patient experience.”
