(PRESS RELEASE) DALLAS, TEXAS – Essilor Vision Foundation(EVF) is sending a message of thanks to eye doctors around the country who provide vision exams and glasses to people in need. During this uncertain time, it is even more important to support eye doctors who are committed to helping people receive vision care.
Show Your Eye Doctor Some Love
Together, the optical industry and ambassadors of vision — employees, partners, community leaders and everyone who knows the importance of clear vision – can show some love to eye doctors around the country. If your business involves eye doctors, you can show your support by joining EVF’s Show the Love campaign and sending messages of encouragement.
Show The Love is a social media campaign that is designed to demonstrate appreciation for eye doctors, and EVF has created free images that can be easily shared through social media channels. Today and in the coming months, EVF asks everyone to show their eye doctor some love in three easy ways:
- Send your eye doctor a note on Facebook or LinkedIn thanking them using the hashtags #ShowTheLove #WeLoveOurEyeDoctors #EVFusa
- Post a photo or video of you sending a “Show the Love” message.
- Once their office opens, patients can show support by booking an eye appointment.
You, your company and employees can reach out during this time of social distancing and let someone know they are appreciated. With everyone wanting to do something to help, this is an easy way to bring goodwill to eye doctors across the country.
Together we see a brighter future
COVID-19 will leave even more people in financial need and EVF, in partnership with eye care providers, will be there to help patients who cannot afford vision care. The foundation encourages eye doctors to sign up for the Changing Life through Lenses program in preparation to serve patients in need of financial assistance. This program provides an online registration process to order jobs at no cost to the practice or the patient. While patients who have insurance or financial ability are encouraged to maintain their own medical care, EVF is here to help those who need assistance. To enroll, go to www.changinglifethroughlenses.org.

- Vision resources for the majority of vision non-profits in the United States
- Resources to schools across the country to help educate teachers and parents on the importance of eye exams and vision health
