(PRESS RELEASE) Looking for a free and easy way to bring the cause of vision to your practice in 2020? Enroll in Essilor Vision Foundation’s See Kids Soar program. The program is also a way for ODs to celebrate 2020, the year of vision, and encourage patients to make their own vision a priority and donate to help those who would otherwise go without vision care.
What is See Kids Soar?
See Kids Soar is an in-office cause campaign intended to inspire parents, patients and eye doctors’ staff to adopt the cause of vision, and give them an opportunity to raise awareness and funds. ODs who enroll in the program will receive a free 2020 cause marketing kit including: brochures and a brochure holder, education flyers, lanyards, buttons, digital assets, near point cards, pens, tear pads, and window clings.
How Does the Program Work?
• Enroll online here
• Display the See Kids Soar materials to inform patients about the cause of vision and let them know they can donate to help children in need get vision care
• Educate staff about See Kids Soar and how they can encourage patients to donate
• Use the See Kids Soar press release to publicize that the practice is changing children’s lives by helping them get vision exams and glasses
SPECIAL PROGRAM: Thanks to a partnership with FoxFire Systems Group, participating practices can also get a FREE credit card processing machine valued at nearly $500. This will allow practices to process credit card donations via pin pad and streamline those donations directly to EVF.

Why Should ODs Participate?
• Doing good is good for business.
• An EVF survey found that 61% of customers would choose an eye care professional who supports a charitable cause over one who does not.
• In addition, 89% of consumers would switch brands to help support a good cause.
• 85% of consumers have a more positive image of companies when they support a cause they care about.
How Does the Program Help Kids in Need?
• See Kids Soar specifically focuses on raising awareness about the millions children in the U.S. who are without vision correction due to lack of awareness, limited access to services or the inability to afford vision care.
• 90% of every dollar raised through the in-office campaign supports critical vision initiatives.
• Donations go directly towards helping fund local programs providing vision exams and glasses for children in need, as well as educating the general public on the importance of eye health care for children.
• No child or family ever receives a bill from Essilor Vision Foundation.
Why is the Year 2020 Special?
• For the vision industry, 2020 is the year of vision — a year when everyone should make their eye health a priority and be advocates for the estimated 12 million kids in America with a vision impairment, half of whom are not getting the vision care they need. Without charitable eye doctors, millions of kids across the U.S. would be unable to obtain vision services.
