(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO — Europa Eyewear, a leading designer and manufacturer of premium independent eyewear, proudly announces several strategic leadership appointments to advance its mission of building a growth-oriented eyewear platform that delivers exceptional value to both partners and customers. The moves are effective September 15.

Among the changes are the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer for the company and a realignment of key responsibilities for three current Europa senior executives. “These appointments reflect a strategic shift from business unit-specific leadership to a more integrated, enterprise-wide structure—enabling greater agility, collaboration, and scalability as the company enters its next phase of growth,” said Megan Molony, CEO of Europa Eyewear

Laura West has been appointed as Europa’s new Chief Financial Officer. West brings over 19 years of financial leadership as well as strategic and operational experience in growth-oriented private equitybacked companies. Most recently, she served as CFO of eyebobs, which Europa acquired in 2023. In her new role, West will oversee all aspects of finance and accounting functions across the Europa platform and will play a critical role in helping to scale the business, drive long-term value creation, and facilitate future acquisitions, the company said.

“Laura has a proven ability in strategic financial leadership and a deep understanding of our industry,” said Megan Molony, CEO. “She’s highly respected by her colleagues and our partners at Blue Point and is a natural fit for this role.”

Additional leadership appointments include:

Melanie Burns, Vice President of Product Development – Melanie will now oversee Europa Eyewear’s full product portfolio across the platform, including eyebobs, a premium readers company. Burns was previously responsible for setting the strategy for the Europa portfolio of proprietary trade and Made in America brands, AO and State. With an accomplished track record in product strategy and process development, she will drive a cohesive product vision, strengthen the innovation pipeline, and accelerate speed to market for new collections.

Jordan Loyd, Head of Operations – Loyd will assume a pivotal role in overseeing technology, manufacturing, operations, and customer experience. Her deep institutional knowledge will be instrumental in streamlining processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and elevating the company’s service model to better meet market needs, while preparing the company for growth in the future.

Christen Dehate, Senior Director of Supply Chain – Dehate previously led eyebobs’ product, lab, operations, and customer experience teams. In her new role, she will oversee end-to-end supply chain for the full Europa platform, including sourcing, purchasing, and planning. She will focus on improving service levels and product quality while identifying cost efficiencies that can be reinvested into future growth initiatives.

“Melanie, Jordan, and Christen bring exceptional leadership and deep industry expertise that will help us realize our vision of building a unique, growth-oriented eyewear platform,” explained Molony. “Their leadership strengthens our ability to deliver distinct brands that serve both B2B and DTC markets while continuing to provide unparalleled value to our partners and customers.”
