(PRESS RELEASE) VERNON HILLS, IL — Europa Eyewear, a leading independent eyewear company known for its enduring partnerships with eye care professionals and its curated portfolio of distinctive brands, announced entering into an exclusive licensing agreement with Coco and Breezy Eyewear, effective April, 2026. Founded in 2009 by twin sisters Coco and Breezy Dotson, Coco and Breezy is celebrated for bold, design-forward eyewear that blends fashion, culture, and self-expression.

The brand partnership strengthens Europa’s growing portfolio by adding a differentiated, unisex collection that reaches a younger, style-driven consumer while complementing Europa’s existing brands without overlap.

“Coco and Breezy represent everything we value in an independent brand: authentic founders, intentional design, and a clear point of view,” said Megan Molony, Chief Executive Officer of the Europa Eyewear platform. “This partnership allows us to preserve the spirit of the brand while bringing Europa’s operational strength, service model, and national sales support behind it.”

ESE International, the prior licensee, will work in tandem with Europa to ensure no disruption to service, fulfillment, or sales support for existing Coco and Breezy wholesale accounts. Through the end of March, ESE will be processing and shipping orders, with Europa handling all subsequent orders from April forward. Warranties and customer care will continue seamlessly through this transition to Europa’s management.

“Our priority is continuity,” said Andy Skitmore, President of Europa Eyewear. “Eyecare Professionals can expect the same Coco and Breezy product they know, supported by Europa’s industry-leading service, logistics, and sales infrastructure. This transition is designed to be smooth, stable, and entirely customer-first.”

Coco and Breezy will continue to be distributed through Europa’s national sales force, with existing retailers receiving the company’s signature personalized support to drive continued success. Broader expansion into new independent ECP doors is planned for later in 2026.

“Coco and Breezy is one of the true success stories in the optical industry,” stated Jason Shyer, ESE President. “When we began working with the brand in 2017, the collection had an amazing vision and was a handful of really cool sunglass models. Through a lot of hard work, collaboration, and dedication, it has grown into a full-scale collection bolstered by its originality, style, and story. Europa has long fostered the type of culture that makes them an ideal partner for the brand to further flourish.”

“Europa understands that Coco and Breezy is more than eyewear. It’s wearable art with purpose,” said Coco and Breezy Dotson. “We’re excited to partner with a team that respects our roots, shares our values, and has the ability to thoughtfully scale the brand.”

With strong performance in brick-and-mortar optical, a loyal following, and a reputation for bold, inclusive design, Coco and Breezy adds a high-growth, low-overlap brand to Europa’s lineup. The acquisition aligns with Europa’s long-term strategy of building a dynamic portfolio of independent eyewear brands while remaining deeply committed to the ECP community.

“Europa continues to invest in brands that energize our sales team, excite our customers, and strengthen our position as a preferred partner in independent optical,” added Skitmore. “Coco and Breezy fits squarely within that vision.”
