(PRESS RELEASE) COLLEGEVILLE, PA — Eye Designs, LLC, the leader in the manufacturing of custom ophthalmic environments and optical display systems is introducing a new, optical specific freestanding protective Germ Shield / Sneeze Guard. Designed to sit on dispensing tables to protect your staff and patients with social distancing, this innovative product is 24”w x 36”h and is custom made for the optical environment. The unique design exclusive to the Eye Designs Group features streamlined cutouts on both sides allowing opticians to reach around and properly fit eyewear. Traditional protective shields are too wide for arms to reach around and do not feature these cutouts, therefore optical staff is not able to properly, and safely, care for a patient’s needs.

Many areas of the country are opening up, or are about to reopen, during the current COVID-19 pandemic and these protective shields will assist eye care practices to conduct business while providing excellent protection making you, your staff and your patients feel safe.

These are freestanding units and are compatible with most dispensing tables, are easy to sanitize, and can be moved to other dispensing areas with ease. They also knockdown for easy storage for when not in use, and have a simple assembly process.
