(Press Release)
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA – Eyefinity, a provider of optometric practice management and EHR solutions, announced it has achieved full accreditation for the Healthcare Network Accreditation Program (HNAP) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). EHNAC’s Health Network accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations.
Through the consultative review process, EHNAC evaluated Eyefinity in areas of privacy measures, systems availability and security infrastructure. In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization’s process of managing and transferring protected health information, determining that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. To complete the rigorous accreditation process, the applicant must demonstrate to its constituents, adherence to strict standards and participation in the comprehensive, objective evaluation of its business.
“At a time of heightened regulatory concerns, it is responsible healthcare organizations such as Eyefinity that we applaud for taking extra steps to ensure trust with all their stakeholders and customers that they’re adhering to the latest standards in privacy, security and confidentiality,” says Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “In order to earn EHNAC HNAP accreditation, organizations are required to demonstrate excellence and a commitment to ensuring the security and privacy of health data processing and transactions for their customers.”
“Eyefinity places great importance on security and compliance,” says Charlie Biegel, COO at Eyefinity. “We are proud to offer providers who do business with us the assurance that their interactions with Eyefinity are secure and safe.”
