(PRESS RELEASE) World Council of Optometry‘s Fellowship Program letter from WCO President.

Dear Colleagues,

For the past two decades, the World Council of Optometry’s Fellowship Program – a membership benefit made possible through WCO’s fundraising arm, the World Optometry Foundation – has funded numerous innovative projects resulting in long-term sustainable results which have improved eye care delivery and assisted in the development of optometry worldwide. Moving forward, this program will now be known as the WCO Grant Program.

This Program will continue to be funded by the World Optometry Foundation and offers two types of grants:

General Grants (formerly “General Fellowships”)
Education Mentor Grants (formerly “Education Mentor Fellowships”).

The WCO Grant Program is intended to support the vision and mission of WCO by funding projects and initiatives which lead towards the advancement of the role of optometry and its participation in eye and vision care within health care systems.
