(PRESS RELEASE) PLAINVILLE, MA — Hilco Vision has announced a leadership transition within its Belgium and the Netherlands based ophthalmic subsidiary – Simovision. Filip Chavatte has been named the Managing Director of Simovision effective today, Aug 1, 2022 and will be taking on that role from retiring founder, Marc Simonet.
Mr. Chavatte brings 25 years of healthcare experience at companies including Novartis, GE Healthcare, Baxter, Shire and J&J. He has a track record of delivering outstanding commercial results, developing high performance teams and working in dynamic environments. His broad general management experience includes sales leadership, marketing, planning, account management, KOL partnerships and launching new products.

Mr. Chavatte will be reporting to Ross Brownlee, CEO of Hilco Vision, who added, “We look forward to the impact Filip can have on our growing ophthalmic business. Marc Simonet will stay on in a strategic advisory capacity, supporting Hilco Vision’s expansion of the innovation and service driven model that has characterized Simovision to this point.
