If you’re going out for a night on the town, you might want to leave your Google Glass at home — or at least not make a big deal about wearing them. San Francisco CBS affiliate KPIX-TV reports that tech writer Sarah Slocum was demonstrating the eyewear’s capabilities at the Molotov bar in the city’s Lower Haight when two women confronted her and a man ripped the Google Glass off of her face. “OMG so you’ll never believe this but… I got verbally and physically assaulted and robbed last night in the city, had things thrown at me because of some *** Google Glass haters …” Slocum wrote on her Facebook page, adding that someone stole her purse and her phone. She said she later recovered the Google Glass along with video on the device that shows the man who ripped the glasses off her face. Bystanders said bar patrons don’t like the idea of being videotaped by Glass. See more at CBS Local.
