EyeCare Partners LLC, a network of medical optometry and ophthalmology practices, could be sold this year.

Its owner, FFL Partners, has begun a sale effort, PE Hub reports.

The firm expects to receive bids over the next two weeks and ink a deal in December, according to the publication, which cited “several sources familiar with the matter.”

EyeCare Partners operates practices in a dozen states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana and Michigan.

EyeCare Partners announced in September that it had completed the acquisition of Nationwide Vision, a full-service vision care provider. Nationwide, headquartered in Chandler, AZ, operates 89 optometry offices throughout Arizona and Florida offering eyecare services and eyewear products.
