(PRESS RELEASE) Haag-Streit is delighted to announce the winners of the “Slit Lamp Imaging Competition 2025.” Watch the animation above to discover this year’s outstanding entries, selected by our expert jury.
Our winners all impressed on image quality, technical execution, and disease interest:
- Image category – First place: Kasi Sandhanam, Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore
- Kasi’s winning entry presented a composition of slit lamp images of a persistent pupillary membrane, captured on the Haag-Streit BX 900.
- The images stood out for their technical precision and creative execution. For this achievement, Kasi receives a digital voucher worth 1,500 CHF and the work will also be featured in a leading ophthalmic journal.
- Image category – Second place: James Gilman, JPG Imaging LLC, USA
- James took second place with a striking image of a subluxated lens, praised for its masterful use of illumination and composition. He receives a digital voucher worth 1,000 CHF.
- Video category – First place: Augusto Paranhos Jr, Forno e Paranhos Oftalmologia, São Paulo, Brazil
- Augusto took first place in the video category with a recording of a Seidel and a perilimbal aqueous vein, captured on the Haag-Streit BQ 900 with Imaging Module 910 3D. The video impressed with its image quality and stability. He is awarded a digital voucher worth 1,500 CHF.
