How a Bookkeeping Boutique Owner Finds Her Calm

Stacy Daniel
Frameology Optical, East Syracuse, NY

“I love that the success of something is all on me,” says Stacy Daniel, owner of Frameology Optical. “I get to manage the way that I like customers to be treated. Of course, I like the financial rewards of the store, but more importantly, I like people being happy with their vision, feeling good while wearing a Frameology frame, and enjoying the experience of picking out glasses… I also love numbers and bookkeeping! If I wasn’t an optician, I’d be an accountant!” Based on her words, clearly Daniel picked the right profession, but even a dream job has the occasional hiccup. “Everything is on us. When someone calls in sick, my plans for the day/week get messed up. If a customer is unhappy, I take it to heart a little too much!” Thankfully, she is only a few steps from a place to unwind. “I have a great space upstairs in my office and after work I go up there, crank up the heat, and meditate.”
