Moscot is leaving its 14th Street location.

Eyewear brand Moscot announced that it is relocating its highly visible 14th Street shop.

The new location will be on the ground floor of 555 Sixth Avenue in New York. Moscot will open in the 1,290-square-foot space in March 2018.

The 103-year-old company opened the current location at 69 W. 14th St. in 1996. The building has been sold for development, according to a press release.

“MOSCOT’s roots in downtown NYC are deeply planted,” said Dr. Harvey Moscot, CEO of the company. “Great Grandpa Hyman (MOSCOT founder) started with humble beginnings, selling eyeglasses from a pushcart along Orchard Street at the beginning of the twentieth century. We are just continuing this tradition of pushing our cart in a 21st century way.”
