IDOC Launches New Marketplace to Assist Independent Practices in Sourcing Better Benefits

It’s latest service launch helps ODs recruit and retain employees with comprehensive benefits.

(PRESS RELEASE) NORWALK, CT — IDOC has announced the launch of its newest service, IDOC Benefits & Beyond, a marketplace-based solution designed to help independent optometrists find and provide quality benefits for their staff. To roll out the marketplace, IDOC has partnered with Alera Group, an independent national insurance firm with expertise in benefit offerings. By bundling options from the nation’s leading insurers, Alera Group makes it easy for ODs to provide benefits to their staff, no matter the size of the practice.

“With the landscape of employee benefits becoming increasingly difficult to navigate, we saw an opportunity to help our members in their search for quality benefits for their staff,” said IDOC HR Consultant Amy Alvarez, SHRM-CP. “It’s tough to stand out to prospective employees in today’s competitive job market. IDOC Benefits & Beyond is designed to help our members attract and retain the best employees. We provide the support they need to source a comprehensive benefit package to offer their current and future team members.”

IDOC’s partnership with Alera Group offers optometrists a one-stop shop for a full suite of benefits including medical, dental, life, and accident insurance as well as access to a dedicated Alera insurance consultant for trustworthy guidance. The service connects members to major local and regional benefit carriers as well as ongoing support for new enrollments and terminations.

“We are constantly innovating to serve our member practices with the unique solutions that meet their business needs,” said IDOC VP Human Resources Jill Johnson. “With the introduction of IDOC Benefits & Beyond, we are expanding HR Services and supporting our members as they strive to provide their employees with great benefits solutions. We are excited for many more forthcoming offerings under the Benefits & Beyond umbrella.”

The introduction of this marketplace is the latest offering in IDOC’s lineup of new innovative Services, launched under the umbrella tagline, “Dream It. Let IDOC Do It.” The launch of IDOC Benefits & Beyond is a significant addition to IDOC HR Services.

IDOC HR Services also offers HR Now, a suite of HR compliance support resources including an employee handbook builder and access to an HR-expert staffed 24/7 hotline.
