(PRESS RELEASE) NORWALK, CT — Registration for IDOC‘s annual national conference, The Connection, to be held in Orlando, FL on February 16-19, 2023, is now open!
Guided by the conference theme Explore the Possibilities, IDOC returns to Orlando for three intensive days of business management curriculum, COPE-approved clinical education, staff training, and high-profile guest speakers. “It’s a thrill for us to host The Connection again this year,” said Dave Brown, president and CEO at IDOC. “After our record-breaking attendance of more than 800 at last year’s event, we anticipate a big crowd again this year and can’t wait to gather in person.”
Keynote Speakers Announced
Supporting the Explore the Possibilities theme with keynote sessions are leading speakers Alison Levine, Chris Goede, & Sharon Carter. Levine, a history-making adventurer who served as Team Captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expedition, will kick off the opening general session. Alison will draw on her experience surviving life’s extremes to motivate attendees with unconventional advice for unpredictable times. She takes audiences to the most remote, extreme places on the planet and demonstrates how leaders can help people succeed in unpredictable environments.
Chris Goede, Executive Vice President of John Maxwell Leadership, brings a deep passion for leadership development and over 17 years of experience starting, growing, and leading companies. On Saturday, Geode will get the day started with his keynote, The 5 Levels of Leadership, built on the foundational principles from John C. Maxwell’s best-seller, The 5 Levels of Leadership. This high-level session will help attendees understand the importance of having a common language around leadership for themselves, their team, and their practice.
Sharon Carter has over 30 years of optometric experience. She will be closing out the conference with a keynote workshop that will guide our attendees on the importance of change. This workshop will incorporate learnings from the conference, and Carter will walk attendees through an implementation process customized for your office to create the changes you desire.
