If You Had To Give Up One, Which Would You Rather? Success in Work, Wellness or Love?

Because it seems rare and seemingly impossible to be excelling in all three at the same time.

I HAVE A LONG-STANDING joke/lament with a girlfriend that there are three pillars in our lives: work/professional, health/wellbeing and social/relationships … and rarely (read: never) are things going well in all three at once. We can rock one. When we’re really killing it, we can get to a place where things are grooving in two. But three is a rare and seemingly impossible accomplishment.

If you’re killing it at work, it’s hard to find the time to work out and eat well. If you’re invested in a health and wellness regimen, you’re likely phoning it in at work. If you’re managing to keep up with your self care and excel at work, you’re probably neglecting your relationships.

Y’all, I am barely accomplishing one right now. The holiday laze has set in early and hard this year. I am lacking motivation in both work and health and we only just got through Halloween!

My relationship is going great but I feel like a giant blob and like I am slacking at work, and quite frankly, I am not sure which second pillar I should be focusing on so I am just doing nothing.

Unfortunately, given the world we’re living in now, you can’t get away with doing nothing for very long. We’re facing challenges in all directions with no end in sight … out of the pandemic frying pan and into an economic recession fire! A fire being fanned by political unrest and uncertainty… Amirite?!?

We wanted to know just how you guys are faring in light of all this. Luckily, it was time for our annual Big Survey issue where we could ask. You guys dug deep and gave us the nitty gritty on the specific challenges you’re facing, your concerns for the future, and how you’re planning on tackling them. Check out 15 pages full of your data starting on page 30.

So it begs another question… If you could only pick two of the three pillars to tackle, which one would you rather put on the back burner? Health, job or relationships? And if this is a totally foreign concept to you and you are regularly knocking it out of the park in all areas of your life, please share your secrets!

Best wishes for your business,
