FAN CLUB

INVISION offers a refreshing take on what it takes to run a successful optometry practice. You touch on many topics that are lacking in many of the medical magazines. From marketing to optical, from medical to customer satisfaction, you cover it all. Well done! Dr. Theodore Sees, Rockford Family Eyecare, Rockford, MI

The Manager’s To-Do list is amazing! I rip it out and put it on my bulletin board immediately! Jenna Gilbertson, McCulley Optix Gallery, Fargo, ND

Love your magazine. It’s fashion forward and right on the mark with topics and suggestions. I often show patients the front covers with the latest frames or styles to help them make a decision. Dr. Jill S. Sweig, Oyster Bay Optics, Oyster Bay, NY

I’d love to see more technical articles. I love a lot of the business management pieces featured, but I’d love to see some more ophthalmic optics-related stuff. Andrew Dias, Klessman & Rosenblatt O.D., Washington, DC

This is my absolute favorite optical magazine to read every month. Can’t wait until the mailman delivers it. I peruse the issues for everything from frame styles to lens cleaners. Keep up the great work — and I’d like to see more coverage on small-town businesses. Rick Rickgauer, Vision Associates, Girard, PA

THINK AHEAD

Millennials will not be your go-to moneymakers. Their parents and grandparents will be the backbone of your private practice. Millennials have no pathology and wear single vision Rxs. They’re usually on their parents’ vision plans under 26 years of age. Millennials never come to my office with their own flex plans, but they do use their parents’ flex plans. Dr. Texas L. Smith, Citrus Heights, CA

Good points, Dr. Smith. We agree that millennials aren’t yet a sweet spot for most practices. Treat them well now, though, and they’ll be back when they really need you.
